I'm writing you at your request in response to the non-sufficient (NSF) fee that our mutual customer XXfirstnamelastnameXX received on XXdateXX.

The NSF fee was charged after the customer unintentionally used their bank account instead of their credit card to fund an instant PayPal payment of XXamountXX on XXdateXX.

Unless a customer tells us that they want to use a different payment method, instant payments are automatically funded by their bank account. In this case, the customer intended to use their credit card, but their bank account was automatically used.

When a payment is denied due to insufficient funds, PayPal will automatically re-present the payment. This may have resulted in multiple NSF fees.

I understand that XXfirstnamelastnameXX is requesting that you waive some or all of the NSF fees caused by this payment. This letter is to explain how instant payments are funded and why our customer paid with their bank account.
